End of Year Data 2017/18

Foundation Stage 2018

Cohort = 6       Good Level of Development (GLD) achieved by Hollesley Primary 2018 = 66.7% (Suffolk = 71.5%, National = 71.5%)

GLD is calculated by combining those pupils who have been awarded expected or exceeding grades in all Prime areas (Communication and Language, Physical Development & PSE Development) and all Literacy and Maths areas. Listening and Attention was our lowest area with Communication and Language. Our average total points score for 2018 = 33.7  (Suffolk = 34.3, National = 34.6)

Key Stage 2

The 2018 KS2 assessments were for the more challenging national curriculum which was introduced in 2014. Results are no longer reported as levels, each pupil now receives their test results as a scaled score and teacher assessments based on the interim framework. Because of the changes, in the last two years, figures for 2016, 2017 and 2018 are not comparable to those for earlier years. The expectations for pupils at the end of KS2 have been raised. The expected standard in the tests is a scaled score of 100 or above. (The threshold for a high score in 2017 was set at a scaled score of 110. Pupils achieving 110 or above are considered to be working at Greater Depth.)

Our KS2 teachers’ assessments for writing were externally moderated this year and the results were verified and validated.

Schools are considered to be above the Floor standard if they achieve 65% or above in the combined reading, writing and maths figure, in attainment, or above the National progress scores in all 3 areas ie: above -5, -7, -5. We are therefore above the floor standard.
