Admissions

We know that starting school is an important step in the life of a child and his/her parents. In Suffolk children are entitled to begin full-time education at the start of September following their fourth birthday. Children born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 will be entitled to a full time place on 1st September 2020 and we will be very happy to welcome them into our excellent Early Years’ class. However, we know that all children are different and some parents of younger children may feel they are too young to begin full time schooling immediately and may prefer them to attend during the mornings only until the beginning of the term after his or her fifth birthday. We will work with parents to facilitate what they feel is best for their child. We are here to help, in any way we can, to ensure a smooth start to this exciting phase of your child’s life.

The County Council is responsible for admissions to the school and all parents must complete an admission form by Wednesday 15th January 2020 for children due to start in September.

Details about how to apply and further information will be published on the www.suffolk.gov.uk/admissions from 12 September 2019, or you can call the admissions team on 0345 600 0981 or email on admissions.@suffolk.gov.uk

If you wish to make an appointment with the Head teacher to have a look round the school, please call the school office on 01394 411616.
