Admissions

We know that starting school is an important step in the life of a child and his/her parents. In Suffolk children are entitled to begin full-time education at the start of September following their fourth birthday. Children born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013 will be entitled to a full time place on 1st September 2017 and we will be very happy to welcome them into our excellent Early Years’ class. However, we know that all children are different and some parents of younger children may feel they are too young to begin full time schooling immediately and may prefer them to attend during the mornings only until the beginning of the term after his or her fifth birthday. We will work with parents to facilitate what they feel is best for their child. We are here to help, in any way we can, to ensure a smooth start to this exciting phase of your child’s life.

The County Council is responsible for admissions to the school and all parents must complete an admission form by Sunday 15th January 2017 for children due to start in September. Full details of policy and procedures are set out in the “Admissions to Schools in Suffolk” 2017/ 2018 booklet which is available from the school office or at http://www.suffolk.gov.uk/children-families-and-learning/schools/school-places/apply-for-a-primary-school-place-for-201718/ . Or you can call the admissions team on 0345 600 0981 or email on admissions.@suffolk.gov.uk
